Of course if you own a specialist vehicle then additional measures may need to be taken to protect your cherished asset.
It needs to be stressed that there has been a great deal of success in reducing car crime in the past few years and since 1997 car crime has dropped by over 50%.
Having said that there were still over 1.5 million vehicle related thefts in 2005.
