We are all aware of the demise of the local shop and we may not like it, but to some extent we have perpetrated it by using large supermarkets with ample parking. Now we are not suggesting that you stop using supermarkets because they are so practical but if we use the local shops more often they will survive and the variety of products is enormous. If residents and businesses in town centres register with us we may be able to help these centres prosper.
On a safety conscious note, the school run is fraught with danger; cars pull up there is a rush to get the children out of the car quickly and into school while a line of traffic forms behind you. If there was a space available near to school you could park safely off the street and not have that mad rush double parked in the middle of the road.
